Le fibre nobili sono il nostro DNA

Siamo ormai quasi giunti alla fine del nostro percorso formativo e anche io, come i miei compagni, sto svolgendo il field project. Questo è un progetto che ci permette di chiudere il cerchio e allo stesso tempo identificare quali possano essere le funzioni nelle quali vorremmo inserirci nel mondo del tessile.

Dopo aver passato un anno a parlare di fibre nobili, il mio percorso non poteva che concludersi all’interno di Agnona, azienda del gruppo Ermenegildo Zegna, che ha nel suo DNA la lavorazione di queste materie pregiate. Cashmere, alpaca, cammello, vigogna sono, difatti, le materie di partenza di tutte le collezioni Agnona.

Quest’azienda inoltre ha sviluppato negli anni un’organizzazione tale che le permette di avere una filiera completamente italiana filando, tessendo e confezionato i prodotti interamente in Italia. Non a caso lo slogan di Alessandra Carra, amministratore delegato di Agnona, è “100% Made in Italy, 100% Made in Agnona”.

Io ho avuto l’opportunità di assistere la Product Manager dell’impianto produttivo di Novara nello sviluppo della prototipia e del campionario della collezione Autunno Inverno 2017. Lavorare con materie nobili è un privilegio e un piacere che non tutte le aziende si possono permettere, ma allo stesso tempo, richiede un maggior impegno e una maggiore conoscenza nel lavorarle per realizzare capi che ne esaltino le caratteristiche e che producano il minor scarto possibile.

Nonostante sia una fase della filiera molto lontana dalle materie prime, anche in questa fase le conoscenze acquisite durante il master sono state utili per capire come avrebbero reagito i tessuti a lavorazioni come taglio, vaporizzo, stiro, piuttosto che alle differenti tecniche di cucitura.

Colgo l’occasione per ringraziare l’azienda Agnona per avermi ospitata e dato l’opportunità di svolgere il mio tirocinio finale nel loro ufficio prodotto e desidero ringraziare nuovamente le aziende che stanno accogliendo i miei compagni nel loro percorso: Ermenegildo Zegna, Faliero Sarti and Marzotto Group.

We almost reached the end of our training and I, as my colleagues, I'm attending the project field. This project let us to finish the master and at the same time to identify what may be our job placement in textile world.

After spending a year talking about noble fibers, Agnona, company of Ermenegildo Zegna Group, which DNA is the processing of these precious materials, was the best place for doing my practice. Cashmere, alpaca, camel, vicuna are raw materials of all Agnona collections.

Over the years this company has also developed an organization entirely placed in Italy: spinning, weaving and manufacturing the products entirely in Italy. It is not by coincidence that the slogan of Alessandra Carra, CEO of Agnona, is "100% Made in Italy, 100% Made in Agnona".

During the project field had the opportunity to assist the product manager of the ready to wear in the development of prototypes and samples of the Fall Winter 2017 collection.

Working with noble materials is a privilege and a pleasure that not all companies can afford. At the same time, it requires a great commitment and knowledge in manufacturing them to give value to products and to produce less waste as possible.

Even though this stage was far from the raw material processing, the knowledge acquired during the master has been useful to understand which was the best way to work the fabrics and to understand their reaction to process such as cutting, steaming, ironing and making.
