La stampa, un equilibrio perfetto tra disegni e sfumature
La seta e la stampa hanno da sempre avuto una grande affinità.
Fin dall’antichità, i tessuti di seta venivano utilizzati come supporto per la serigrafia, consentendo un trasferimento
omogeneo del colore su qualsiasi altra superficie.
La serigrafia, parola che deriva dal latino "sericum" ("seta") e dal greco "γράφειν"
("gràphein", "scrivere") è dunque l’arte della “scrittura sulla seta” e il distretto di Como,
famoso sia per la seta che per la stampa, ne conserva ancora la tradizione e i segreti.
Il mese scorso abbiamo avuto modo di approfondire le tecniche di stampa e nobilitazione dei
tessuti presso la Stamperia di Lipomo. Il personale dell’azienda ci ha mostrato come ha
inizio il processo creativo, dallo sviluppo del colore alle criticità tecniche che possono
verificarsi, fino alla realizzazione della stampa su tessuto. Le lavorazioni presenti presso
l’azienda sono numerose, dalla classica stampa a quadro alla cosiddetta mano-macchina,
fino alla più recente stampa digitale. Il nostro soggiorno a Como è stato inoltre arricchito
dalle visite presso Fototex s.r.l., in cui si effettuano i passaggi preliminari alla stampa, come
la realizzazione dei disegni sui cilindri e sui quadri da stampa, e presso l’azienda Colours
Company s.r.l., specializzata nella personalizzazione e nello sviluppo di prodotti esclusivi
attraverso l’applicazione sapiente di varie tecniche.

Print, a perfect balance between patterns and shades
Silk and printing have always had a great affinity.
Since ancient times, silk fabrics were used as a backing for screen printing, allowing a transfer of homogeneous color on any other surface.
Screen printing, a word that derives from the Latin "sericum ("silk") and the Greek "γράφειν" ("gràphein", "writing") is, therefore, the art of "writing on silk" and the district of Como, famous for both silk and printing, still preserves its tradition and secrets.
Last month we had the opportunity to learn more about the printing and ennobling techniques of fabrics at the Lipomo printing house (Stamperia di Lipomo). The company staff showed us how the creative process originates, from the development of the right color to the technical problems that can occur until the printing on the fabric is made. The workings of the company are numerous, from the classic screen printing to the so-called hand-machine (mano-macchina), up to the most recent digital printing. Our stay in Como was also enriched by the visits to Fototex s.r.l., where the preliminary steps to printing are carried out, such as the realization of the designs on the cylinders and the printing frames, and at the Colors Company s.r.l., specialized in the customization and development of exclusive products through the skillful application of various techniques.
