Ultimi mesi, ultime avventure. Durante la prima settimana di novembre abbiamo avuto la possibilità di recarci in visita presso due importanti aziende che si trovano sul territorio inglese: Bower Roebuck e John Smedley. Entrambe le aziende si trovano immerse nella bellezza bucolica della campagna inglese e hanno fatto del “Made in Great Britain” la loro forza.

Bower Roebuck produce tessuti dal sapore molto British, con una eccelsa scelta delle fibre e dei filati; John Smedley invece è uno tra i più importanti maglifici al mondo da oltre 230 anni.

Il filo conduttore che lega queste due esperienze è sicuramente la cura con cui entrambe queste aziende mettono nel pensare, ideare e realizzare i propri prodotti, che siano tessuti o capi finiti. Come sempre poi sono le persone e il loro know-how a fare la differenza, persone che ci hanno accompagnato attraverso i loro stabilimenti e che con sapienza e cordialità ci hanno illustrato il loro lavoro e la passione che mettono per creare prodotti di qualità.

Per questa magnifica esperienza e per averci introdotti nel grande mondo della tradizione tessile inglese ringraziamo John Smedley e Bower Roebuck.

Questo è stato l’ultimo viaggio che abbiamo vissuto come team, da qui in avanti i nostri percorsi si sono separati verso mete diverse e verso le nostre attività di field project finali.

Last months, last adventures. During the first week of November we had the opportunity to visit two important companies located in the English territory: Bower Roebuck and John Smedley. Both companies are immersed in the bucolic beauty of the English countryside and both have made of "Made in Great Britain" their strength.

Bower Roebuck produces fabrics with a very British flavor with an excellent choice in fibers and yarns, while John Smedley is one of the most important knitwear factories in the world for over 230 years.

The common thread that links these two experiences is certainly the care with which both these companies put into thinking, conceiving and making their own products, whether they are fabrics or finished garments. As always, it is people and their know-how that make the difference, people who have accompanied us through their factories and who, with wisdom and cordiality ,have shown us their work and the passion they put into creating high quality products.

For this magnificent experience and for introducing us to the great world of the English textile tradition we would like to thank John Smedley and Bower Roebuck.

This was the last trip we experienced as a team, from here on our paths have separated towards different destinations and towards our final field projects.
