FILO, un mondo di filati
La scorsa settimana abbiamo partecipato alla 61° edizione di FILO, una delle più rilevanti fiere al mondo di filati pregiati dedicata al mondo B2B, alla quale partecipano i principali player del mercato. La lista degli espositori comprende sia filature che venditori che, due volte all’anno, presentano le loro collezioni riviste per la stagione successiva, includendo nei loro campionari articoli esclusivi o capsule collection.
Durante i due giorni di fiera ci siamo suddivisi e ciascuno di noi ha avuto modo, per un giorno, di affiancarsi ai commerciali di Südwolle, Filati Buratti, Iride, Tintoria Mancini, Zegna Baruffa e Filatura Pettinata Luisa, assistendo anche alle presentazioni dei campionari. Durante la restante parte dell’evento invece, abbiamo presidiato il nostro stand, che abbiamo allestito grazie alla generosità di aziende come Gruppo Tessile Industriale e Lucafil, che ci hanno gentilmente fornito i loro filati fantasia e del Consorzio Biella The Wool Company, che ci ha permesso di esibire campioni di fibre nobili che hanno arricchito la nostra esposizione. Presso lo stand del Biella Master delle Fibre Nobili abbiamo avuto l’opportunità di conoscere diversi professionisti del settore che ci hanno trasmesso la loro passione per il semilavorato. Anche alcune aziende hanno dichiarato il loro interesse a collaborare con il Master, ampliando il network che sostiene lo svolgimento del corso e diversi studenti hanno voluto approfondire la nostra realtà, con l’intenzione di unirsi alla nostra grande famiglia nelle prossime edizioni.
FILO, a world full of yarns
Last week we took part to the 61st edition of FILO, one of the world's most relevant trade fairs of fine yarns dedicated to the B2B world, in which the main players in the market participate. The list of exhibitors includes both spinning mills and vendors who, every two times a year, present their revised collections for the following season, including in their sample collections exclusive items or capsule collections, which, thanks to their extraordinary hospitality, we were able to get to know and view.
During the two days of the fair, in fact, we split up and each of us had the opportunity, for one day, to stand side by side with the salespeople of Südwolle, Filati Buratti, Iride, Tintoria Mancini, Zegna Baruffa and Filatura Pettinata Luisa, also attending the presentations of the sample collections.
During the remaining part of the event, however, we manned our own booth, which we set up thanks to the generosity of companies such as Gruppo Tessile Industriale and Lucafil, which kindly provided us with their fancy yarns, and the Biella The Wool Company Consortium, which allowed us to exhibit samples of noble fibers that enriched our display. At the Biella Master of Noble Fibers booth, we had the opportunity to come into contact and make the acquaintance of several professionals in the sector who passed on their passion for the semi-finished product, with some companies who expressed interest in collaborating with the Master, expanding the network that supports the course's development, as well as with several students interested in learning more about our reality whose questions regarding our experience we answered very willingly, hoping that they will be able to join our large family in future editions.
