Tra tessuti e armature
Nelle settimane passate i masterini della XXXIII edizione del Biella Master delle Fibre Nobili hanno completato il quarto modulo teorico del loro programma formativo, riguardante la progettazione dei tessuti. Come di consueto, alle lezioni in classe, è stato dato loro modo di esperire concretamente la professione con un periodo in azienda, durante il quale hanno approfondito gli aspetti cruciali del mestiere del disegnatore.
I masterini hanno avuto modo di imparare la scampionatura, necessaria per stabilire l’armatura di un tessuto da riprodurre e il titolo dei filati che la compongono, seguita dalla sua riproduzione al CAD. Alcuni di loro hanno avuto modo di definire insieme ai disegnatori le varianti di determinati articoli o disegni, sia per telai a licci, sia per telai jacquard.
Non sono mancati i numerosi sopralluoghi in tessitura e finissaggio, dove i masterini hanno potuto vedere la realizzazione dei disegni progettati ed i vari processi di nobilitazione stabiliti dai disegnatori.
Dato il periodo in cui ha avuto luogo lo stage, alcuni masterini hanno anche avuto la possibilità di assistere e comprendere come viene messa a punto la collezione AI 25/26.
La figura del disegnatore, mestiere complesso e ricercato, ha suscitato l’interesse e la curiosità dei ragazzi ed è stata di grande ispirazione per alcuni di loro.

Among fabrics and weaves
In the past weeks, the masterini of the XXXIII edition of the Biella Master of Noble Fibers completed the fourth theoretical module of their training program, concerning textile design. As usual, classroom lectures were followed by concrete experience of the profession with a period in the company, during which they delved into the crucial aspects of the designer's craft.
The masters had the opportunity to learn scampling, which is necessary to establish the weave of a fabric to be reproduced and the title of the threads that make it up, followed by its reproduction in the CAD program. Some of them got to define together with the designers the different variations of certain articles or designs, both for rapier and jacquard looms.
There was no shortage of visits to finishing and weaving mills, where the masterini were able to see the realization of the designed patterns and the various ennobling processes established by the designers.
Given the period in which the internship took place, some masterini also had the opportunity to witness and understand how the FW 25/26 collection is put together.
The role of the textile designer, a complex and sought-after profession, aroused the interest and curiosity of the students and has been a great inspiration for some of them.
