“UN FILO” CHE CONNETTE DIVULGAZIONE E CONOSCENZA

FILO, il Salone Internazionale di fibre e filati, ha dato il via alla sua 59° edizione nelle giornate del 22 e 23 febbraio 2023, nella sede di Allianz Mico, al Milano Convention Center.

La fiera internazionale b2b ha aperto le sue porte offrendo due giorni di talk e incontri su temi di grande attualità legati al settore. Tra i numerosi stand nei quali le aziende hanno presentato i propri prodotti e servizi, eravamo presenti anche noi. Il Biella Master delle Fibre Nobili, anche quest’anno, ha dato la possibilità a noi studenti di poter esporre il nostro materiale, come materie prime e filati, e raccontare la realtà formativa che stiamo vivendo. Abbiamo avuto il piacere di incontrare e dialogare con i tanti attori del settore coinvolti alla fiera: dalle filature alle tintorie, dai commercianti di materia prima ai buyer, dalle testate giornalistiche alle associazioni di settore. Momenti esclusivi grazie ai quali ognuno di noi ha potuto arricchire il proprio bagaglio culturale scoprendo nuove realtà produttive industriali.

Filo conduttore di questa edizione è sicuramente stato quello sulla sostenibilità: la cerimonia di apertura, la quale con il titolo dell’evento “Sostenibilità, tracciabilità, filiera – La giusta connessione tra materia prima e prodotto finito” ha sostenuto l’importanza di una supply chain sempre più tracciabile, trasparente e con la speranza che i valori della sostenibilità possano dialogare con l’industria del tessile-abbigliamento. Un’altra dimostrazione dell’orientamento verso un sistema produttivo più responsabile da un punto di vista ambientale e sociale, è stata la presenza dello spazio espositivo chiamato “Area Sostenibilità”, studiato e creato per permettere di osservare, toccare, conoscere e valorizzare prodotti creati grazie al connubio di maestranze artigianali, tradizionali e creative con pratiche sostenibili.

Siamo dunque stati immersi in tanti momenti di conoscenza, tra il tempo passato nel nostro stand a divulgare i valori della Fondazione del Biella Master, a quello trascorso negli stand delle aziende che ci hanno ospitato. Abbiamo, infatti, avuto il piacere di conoscere ed essere ospitati da Filati Buratti, specializzata nella lavorazione della seta con la possibilità di sviluppi a richiesta per la produzione di filati esclusivi; un’altra azienda che ci ha aperto le porte è stata la Tintoria e Finissaggio Iride, che investe sulla sostenibilità utilizzando tinture naturali con le quali lavora principalmente la lana; un’ulteriore azienda che ci ha accolti è la Filatura Pettinata Luisa, leader nel campo dei filati pettinati fini e finissimi e con un’attenzione costante per la sostenibilità. Hanno aperto le porte al Biella Master anche la Tintoria Mancini specializzata nella tintura di fibre di origine naturale e che ha introdotto metodi innovativi tra cui la tecnica shibori, così come Zegna Baruffa, in primo piano per la produzione di filati naturali di alta qualità per Tessitura, Maglieria e Jersey.

Ringraziamo nuovamente le aziende citate, senza le quali questa esperienza non sarebbe stata così stimolante. Grazie alla partecipazione a questa fiera, infatti, si sono aperti per noi nuovi orizzonti di ricerca personale e lavorativa.

"A THREAD" CONNECTING DISSEMINATION AND KNOWLEDGE

FILO, the International Fibre and Yarn Exhibition, kicked off its 59 edition on 22 and 23 February 2023, at the Milano Convention Center in Allianz Mico.

The international b2b fair has opened its doors offering two days of talks and meetings on topical issues related to the industry. Among the many stands where companies presented their products and services, we were also present. The Biella Master of Fibre Nobili, also this year, gave us students the opportunity to exhibit our material, as raw materials and yarns, and tell the educational reality that we are living. We had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the many actors of the industry involved at the fair: from spinning mills to dry cleaners, from raw material traders to buyers, and from newspapers to industry associations. Exclusive moments thanks to which each of us has been able to enrich our cultural heritage by discovering new industrial production realities.

The leitmotif of this edition has certainly been sustainability: the opening ceremony, which with the title of the event "Sustainability, traceability, supply chain - The right connection between raw material and the finished products" has supported the importance of a supply chain increasingly traceable, transparent and with the hope that the values of sustainability can dialogue with the textile-clothing industry. Another demonstration of the orientation towards a more responsible production system from an environmental and social point of view was the presence of the exhibition space called "Sustainability Area", designed and created to allow you to observe, touch, know, and enhance products created thanks to the combination of artisanal, traditional and creative with sustainable practices.

We were therefore immersed in many moments of knowledge, from time spent in our stand to disseminate the values of the Biella Master Foundation, to that spent in the stands of the companies that hosted us. We had the pleasure of knowing and being hosted by Filati Buratti, who specialized in silk processing with the possibility of developments on request for the production of exclusive yarns; another company that opened its doors to us was Tintoria e Finissaggio Iride, which invests in sustainability using natural dyes with which it works mainly wool; another company that welcomed us is the Spinning Combed Luisa, a leader in the field of fine and fine combed yarns and with constant attention to sustainability. The doors to the Biella Master have also been opened by Tintoria Mancini, which specializes in dyeing natural fibers and has introduced innovative methods including the shibori technique, as well as Zegna Baruffa, featured for the production of high-quality natural yarns for Weaving, Knitting, and Jersey.

.Thanks again to the companies mentioned, without which this experience would not have been so exciting. Thanks to our participation in this fair, new horizons of personal and work research have opened for us.
